Kaiser Permanente Sr. Consultant Compensation in Renton, Washington
Oversees the design and administration of compensation programs by serving as an expert resource on compensation related issues; proposing, administering, and implementing programs and policies; ensuring programs, policies, and practices align with and support business imperatives; researching company salary structures, FLSA exemptions, job revisions, and organizational structures; preparing special studies and recommendations on incentive and recognition programs; reviewing reports; conducting FLSA reviews; and providing strategic guidance and expertise for compensation matters. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may lead the work of other staff members.
Oversees the implementation of programs or compensation components of larger cross-functional projects by coordinating stakeholder contacts; recommending team resources based on project needs and team member strengths; assisting in the development, analysis, and management of project plans; and coordinating project schedules and resource forecasts; accountable for project implementation.
Oversees the planning and development of HR compensation implementation strategies, programs, and policies by researching challenges and providing recommendations; leading the implementation of short- and long-range department goals, programs, and policies; ensuring the implementation of compensation initiatives are aligned with established business policies and objectives; and ensuring compensation metrics are met.
Performs market pricing and analysis by auditing and evaluating compensation survey data; analyzing competitive salary information; researching issues related to compensation surveys; assessing competitive labor market trends; informing salary structures and market positioning to support labor negotiations, talent acquisition, financial planning, and other business processes; performing job matching and determining benchmarks for equitable and competitive employee compensation
Conducts and/or serves as a lead for salary planning activities by researching and recommending salary adjustments; identifying corrective or alternative actions to resolve compensation-related problems; providing costing and recommendations for salary budgets and escalations; advising on payout calculations of compensation plans; and implementing and documenting compensation policies and pay practices.
Minimum three (3) years of experience leading projects/programs or people
Minimum seven (7) years of experience in human resources, finance, or business operations
Minimum five (5) years of experience in compensation
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Social or other sciences, Public Administration or related field OR four (4) years of directly related experience
High School Diploma OR General Education Development (GED) required
License, Certification, Registration
Three (3) years of experience working cross-functionally across departments, functions, or business lines.
Three (3) years of experience working across multiple HR disciplines (e.g., Compensation, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Generalist,etc.).
Senior Human Resources Professional Certification (SPHR).
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP).
Master's degree in Human Resources, Business, Social or other sciences, Public Administration or related field
