Kaiser Permanente Health Unit Coordinator - Urgent Care (0.0 FTE, Variable Shifts) in Bellevue, Washington

BellevueUrgent Care is looking for a Health Unit Coordinator. In this role you are the center of the department working in coordination and collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team. You will also collaborate with our amazing team of doctors, physician assistants, nurses, patient care technicians, respiratory therapists and members from other teams such as radiology and lab to admit and discharge patients from the unit.

You will be responsible for answering the phone, monitoring the telemetry board and indirect patient care within this unit. You will also coordinate patient care with members of other teams, prepare for emergency department transfer or hospital admission, and regulate supplies. Your role will be vital in ensuring the smooth day to day operations of the unit!

This position will be working variable shiftsat the Bellevue Urgent Care.

Education

Minimum Education Requirements: High School Diploma/GED

Knowledge/Skills Minimum Knowledge/Skills Requirements: Basic or limited Medical Terminology. Communication skills. Legible penmanship

Experience Minimum Experience Requirements: None Required

Preferred Experience: 1 year experience as a HUC in a Hospital or ED/UC.

License/Certifications Minimum License/Certifications Requirements: None Required

Preferred License/Certifications: At time of hire CPR
