Kaiser Permanente Enrollment Specialist in Aurora, Colorado

The Enrollment Specialist is accountable for creating sales opportunities through targeted enrollment activities to increase membership and build support for KP. Establish and maintain purchaser relationships to optimize potential for growth. Identify and act on enrollment opportunities. Establish and maintain internal communication links to ensure timely and accurate internal and external purchaser reporting. Responsible for ensuring ongoing compliance for Sales & Marketing. Maintains knowledge of policies and procedures and performs in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements, external laws and accreditation standards as they relate to Sales & Marketing. Makes members/patients and their needs a primary focus of one's actions; develops and sustains productive member/patient relationships. Actively seeks information to understand member/patient circumstances, problems, expectations, and needs. Builds rapport and cooperative relationship with members/patients. Considers how actions or plans will affect members; responds quickly to meet member/patient needs and resolves problems.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Engage local/branch account contacts to ensure understanding of and commitment to KP.

  • Engage union contacts to ensure understanding of and commitment to KP.

  • Develop and execute strategies for open enrollment.

  • Initiate opportunities outside of open enrollment to engage with members and potential members to ensure understanding of and commitment to KP.

  • Identify and work new hire enrollment strategies in targeted accounts.

  • Analyze open enrollment opportunities and propose options to maximize KP's visibility.

  • Communicate purchaser issues regarding accounts and book of business to account manager accurately and within specified time frame.

  • Identify and report purchaser trends to internal stakeholders.

  • Manage materials fulfillment needs of assigned groups on an ongoing basis.

Basic Qualifications:


  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in B2C sales and marketing.


  • Bachelor's degree OR four (4) years of experience in a directly related field.

  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.

License, Certification, Registration

  • Colorado Life & Health insurance producer's license required within 90 days of hire date.

  • Driver's license and reliable personal transportation required for business use. Up to 500 miles/month local travel.

Additional Requirements:

  • Physical ability to lift 25 lbs.

  • Customer service and face-to-face presentation skills required.

  • Ability to thrive in a high pressure environment, with strong initiative and perseverance traits.

  • Extended hours required during Open Enrollment Seasons; May-June and Oct- Nov annually.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in B2C sales and marketing in health care preferred.

  • Demonstrable and accurate bilingual skills are a strong preferred.
