Provides oversight for all elements of the market facing worksite wellness programs (Workforce Health), and Large group & broker marketing strategy, accountable for consultation with stakeholders to identify and prioritize the projects relevant to the business-to-business market. Accountable for Sales/Client Support, Workforce Health infrastructure team, oversight for worksite care delivery process (Health Coaching and Care Gap Closure) to grow workforce health and onsite clinic market strategies essential to KP's revenue, membership and margin goals. Provides leadership for customer facing Workforce Health consultants and care delivery staff (through a dotted line reporting structure). Provide analytical/strategic-thinking and leadership skills that enable teams to: 1) isolate customer business issues; 2) design and execute analytics for studying business issues (market research, CAR reports, etc); 3) bring content expertise (Wellness Programs) to customers and sales and account management; 4) vet findings and make formal recommendations to senior levels of KP leadership, including Medical Group Leadership; 5) review/approve/implement strategic recommendations, 6) provide oversight, leadership, and regional/program alignment for market-facing onsite clinic and non-standard requests. Incumbents would manage teams whose work includes goals around customer engagement, population health measures, strategies to achieve membership growth and retention, internal and external customer satisfaction, and competitive intelligence insights. Selects, develops, evaluates, coaches, and advises personnel. Incumbent is also accountable for all wellness program elements, even if not directly reporting to team, such as health education coaches, MD ambassadors, MAs to provide services, program office alignment. In addition to market facing responsibilities, this team leader is accountable for ensuring the NW has a strong infrastructure and strategy to support the go to market strategies. This includes deploying nationally developed Workforce Health programs and products and national marketing strategies and content, with the ability to customize to meet regional stakeholder and customer needs. The position requires the ability to drive change through influence, to lead cross-functional implementation teams, to identify emerging market opportunities before they have emerged and to position Kaiser Permanente to succeed in those market opportunities as they are emerging.
Essential Responsibilities: - Market Facing Consultation for wellness and market facing team leadership. Works to develop scope of work for team, sequencing, defining Workforce Health value proposition, setting strategic and business direction, context & priorities for the team. Provides oversight, coaching & guidance to market facing staff. Directly consults with customers in the market to help advise and develop wellness approaches, including consulting internally with KPNW wellness leaders. Accountable for the entire book of business of Workforce Health customers (includes meeting directly with clients and brokers, as well as providing oversight to the Workforce Health consultants). Arranges for key stakeholders to interact with customers as appropriate (NWP, Health Ed, clinical staff). Partners with Health Plan Leadership, Sales and Account Management and Products to interpret, analyze and address key business issues and questions. Provide operational management: accountable for the budget (Investment Fund Bank dollars) and resource viability of area of responsibility. Recommend organization/business performance metrics and act when needed. Review and recommend policies to achieve customer and KP goals. Review and recommend direction on continuous quality improvement programs. Oversight into how the investment fund dollars are allocated. - Employer and Broker Marketing Strategy and Infrastructure. Direct accountability for staff in other departments as part of a cross functional team to ensure alignment among key participants. Direct accountability and end-to-end process oversight for strategic solutions, request and intake processes, and governance/decision bodies/workgroups, including regional strategic framework and alignment with business development and program office strategy. Influence Marketing, Sales, and Business Development (MSBD) executive leaders and line of business directors to develop strategic marketing and product plans that enable membership growth and retention while managing risk. Lead Health Plan and Northwest Permanente groups to 'bring the voice of the market' into the strategic decision making process. May engage in market facing, customer and broker engagement meetings to discern whether a given market opportunity fits with Kaiser Permanente's strategic direction. Maintains and deploys program and product work deployed from program office, working to ensure minimal customization of standard products and collateral. Manages all dollars and budgets associated with Workforce Health and B2B Marketing. Maintains and manages results of wellness efforts with clients and marketing strategies. - Contribute to National Workforce Health development. Provide input into program product development and promotions collateral. Support and manage survey, goal setting, and strategy development on program-wide work groups. - Other duties as assigned. Based on needs of the marketing team and growth goals, lead additional work to contribute to regional strategy.
Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Experience - Minimum seven (7) years of content/functional experience (health care and / or wellness). If candidate possesses a master's degree then a minimum four (4) years of experience in the aforementioned areas will be accepted. - Minimum five (5) years in supervisory and management role. - Minimum three (3) years in market facing roles using consultative approach (sales, business development, management consulting, wellness consulting) to demonstrate effective influence skills. Education - Bachelor's degree required. - Master's degree may be accepted in lieu of some experience required. License, Certification, Registration - N/A
