Kaiser Permanente Regional Training Coordinator in Honolulu, Hawaii

Facilitates & oversees the Mgmt to include the development & implementation of systems & processes for contingent staff known as medical residency, medical students program & nursing students. To manage the professional staff medical education program of the hospital. Assists in development & implementation of medical & non-medical contracts for contingent staff. Administers contracts. Develops, promotes, & maintains relationships w/vendors, contractors, supervisors, & the community. Assists Regional Educator & clinical chief of the professional staff in establishing & monitoring contingent staff competencies. Serves as resource for applications & contract information/interpretation. Provides information/education to contingent & internal staff.

Essential Functions: - Manages the Professional Staff education program to meet the Joint commission standards for the development of the facilities education program reflecting the hospital's needs. - Administers orientation & training programs for residents &/or other contingent staff as assigned. Leads the delegation, instruction, direction & supervision of tasks. Co - Chairs contingent staff team meetings. Reports discussions, decisions & recommendations. - Conducts vendor site visits to review personnel files & competency documentation. Reports findings to appropriate leadership. Ensures appropriate credentialing of contingent staff for compliance w/ regulatory requirements. Informs affected managers of current contractual arrangements. Assists supervisors in establishing tracking systems to ensure compliance w/ accrediting & regulatory bodies. - Facilitates & oversees the development & implementation of systems, processes & informational tools related to hospital medical residency program. Develops & maintains files & databases regarding contracts & contingent staff. - Develops & implements contracts w/ outside vendors in collaboration w/ legal department, affiliated care & other parties. Promotes & maintains relationships w/ outside vendors. Assesses provider & hospital expectations & needs for new & revised contracts. Monitors compliance w/ contract terms & conditions. Reports non-compliance. Reviews new & existing contracts. Identifies problematic language contrary to regional interests &/or legal contract principles. Ensures contracts meet organizational guidelines & applicable legal principles, laws, & regulations. Incorporates federal & state regulations impacting provision of medical services. Monitors impending contract expirations & renewals. Communicates w/ affected parties. Ensures contractor compliance w/ contract specifications. Assists in identifying & resolving contractual issues. Communicates directly w/ physicians & other providers to facilitate or assist in contract interpretation or conflict resolution when necessary. - Property Mgmt; Documents, reports (collecting, analyzing, & summarizing data & trends) & ensures payment of all financial transactions related to properties managed. Investigates & resolves tenant complaints, enforces rules of occupancy, inspects vacant units & works w/ owners on completing repairs. Updates tenant schedules, inspects & reports apartment damages, collect keys from vacating tenants. Arranges monthly cleaning, maintenance & repairs w/ vendor services & inspects regularly for compliance w/ KP policies, procedures, safety measures, & quality standards. Handles emergency Mgmt by referring emergencies to proper authorities & enforcing occupancy policies & procedures by direct contact w/ tenants. Refers issues to appropriate departments for service.

Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Experience - Minimum three (3) years of healthcare experience in hospital setting, outside vendor, or related field. Education - Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field OR four (4) years of experience in a directly related field. License, Certification, Registration - N/A.

Additional Requirements: - Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in change management, conflict resolution, group presentations, group process facilitation, influence, oral communication, problem solving, team work and written communication. - Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in word processing, spreadsheet and database PC applications.

Preferred Qualifications: - Background in training or education.
