Kaiser Permanente Business Operations/Analyst Supervisor in Honolulu, Hawaii

Directs and coordinates business operations services. Functions as a patient advocate. Participates in and collaborates on Regionwide activities relating to areas of responsibility. Leads and serves as liaison for Region-wide activities relating to business operations. Consults management on processes and systems. Supervises assigned staff.

Essential Functions: - Plans, coordinates, directs, and supervises activities of assigned business operations area. Delegates, monitors, and evaluates activities of assigned staff to ensure accuracy and efficiency of business operations. - Develops and implements business operations process changes. - Coordinates and facilitates monthly department meetings. - Provides client-based consultative resources. Educates, trains, performs, and facilitates analyses in areas of business operational methods and systems improvement, continuous quality improvement/total quality management work or quality standards and monitoring, and application of quantitative analysis techniques. - Develops, analyzes, interprets, trends, and monitors reports/data. Researches differences between targeted and actual utilization results. Develops and implements an action plan to ensure appropriate utilization. - Hires, trains, supervises, counsels, disciplines, and terminates assigned staff as appropriate. - Communicates goals, objectives, accountabilities, priorities, and authority parameters to assigned staff.

Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Experience - Minimum two (2) years of appointment, cashiering, or business office related experience. - Minimum one (1) year of analyst, consultant, or project management experience in a customer service or operational area or equivalent related education. Education - Bachelor's degree in business administration, related field OR four (4) years of experience in a directly related field. License, Certification, Registration - N/A

Additional Requirements: - Demonstrated knowledge of business operations and organizational practices and procedures. - Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in adaptability, change management, conflict resolution, creativity, innovation, decision making, customer service, influence, interpersonal relations, oral communication, problem solving, quality management, results orientation, systems thinking, team building, teamwork, written communication, group presentations, group process facilitation, and project management. - Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in word processing, spreadsheet, and database PC applications.

Preferred Qualifications: - Minimum three (3) years of analyst, supervisor, or clerical operations experience in a health care industry. - Supervisory/lead or project management experience.
