National Pharmacy Operations Manager Under the direction of the Regional Pharmacy Systems Deployment Manager or other Regional Pharmacy Operations Manager will provide oversight for the implementation and deployment of new Regional National pharmacy systems and initiatives. Provides leadership and guidance for all phases of the initiative, including design, prioritization, staffing, workflow analysis, metric reporting and systems improvement. The Pharmacy Operations Lead will direct non-pharmacist employees and assess and alter workflow patterns to achieve desired service and/or metrics outcome. Evaluates existing resources and works with local regional management leadership, local leadership and other stakeholders to assure appropriate resources are obtained to implement and sustain the initiative. Must be able to travel to various locations within the Region across the enterprise. Performs other duties as required.

Essential Responsibilities: - Under the direction of the Regional Pharmacy Systems Deployment National Pharmacy Operations Manager or other Regional Pharmacy Operations Manager is responsible for the leadership and direction to non-pharmacist staff for the deployment and implementation of Regional National pharmacy systems and initiatives. - Collaborates with Regional and Medical Center Area Pharmacy Leadership and Management to assess and recommend resources, which may include funding, equipment, personnel and other necessary support, to complete the successful delivery of the system. - Responsible for all phases of the initiative, including design, prioritization, assessment of staffing, workflow analysis, metric reporting and systems improvement. - Under the direction of the Regional Pharmacy Systems Deployment National Pharmacy Operations Manager, or other Regional Pharmacy Operations Manager provides overall scheduling, including timeline and milestones, for the initiative. - Develops task assignments for the departmental staff and makes adjustments to meet volume/workload demands and in accordance with the collective bargaining agreements. - Provides on-site analysis of initiative and system deployment with assessments and recommendations. - Communicates this information via formal presentations to the National, Regional Pharmacy Leaders and Medical Center Pharmacy Management and Leadership, as well as other stakeholders. - Regional Pharmacy Systems Deployment Manager and Medical Center Pharmacy Management and Leadership. - Resolves issues and problems through collaboration, active communication and conflict resolution. - Assesses barriers to the deployment process and works with key stakeholders to bring resolution. - Tracks and reports status of timelines and completion of milestones. - Determines the process to which results will be measured, identifies core metric assessments and develops status as well as post-deployment evaluations to determine achievement of goals and initiative success. - Develops tools and best practices, leveraged against past and present deployments, and applies these practices to future systems implementations. - Evaluates and analyzes initiative and system design, variances and outcomes to maximize cost effectiveness, enhance quality and improve service. - Collaborates with the Outpatient Pharmacy Management and pharmacy staff to provide continuity of care and compliance with applicable Federal and State laws and regulations governing hospitals. - Sphere of influence includes Pharmacy Non-Pharmacist Staff, Members of the Pharmacy Management Team, and Regional and National Pharmacy Operations Leadership, and other Pharmacy Operations Leads. - Knowledgeable of outpatient pharmacy operational practices to ensure compliance with Federal and State laws and regulations, T.J.C., O.S.H.A., SBOP, Statewide and Departmental policies and procedures. - Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Experience - Minimum three (3) years of experience in a health care related or technical field. Education - Bachelor's degree in business administration, health care administration, operations research, public health administration, or other related field, OR four (4) years of experience in a directly related field. - High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required. License, Certification, Registration - Must pass background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pharmacy experience strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience in Kaiser pharmacy preferred.
  • Prefer California registration as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • Technician License Preferred / Knowledge of Inventory Processes strongly preferred
