The Bellevue Medical Center is located in the growing East King County area in the heart of the Bellevue medical district and high tech core. This facility is a state of the art 190,000 square foot building encompassing 20 plus multi-specialty services, including a 24/7 urgent care, outpatient surgery center and sophisticated outpatient diagnostic and treatment services. The ARNP is an integral member of the healthcare team and has authority to admit or refer patients, prescribe medications and treatments and order tests.

The ideal candidate will:

Have at least 4 or more years of experience, managing a panel of patients in a Bariatric Surgery setting. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in acute care surgical nursing, Bariatric Surgery and/or General Surgery.

The ARNP’s primary responsibilities will include - but may not be limited to :

Participate in initial patient assessment and the formulation, implementation and monitoring of the pre-operative and post-operative care plan. Prescribe medication and order other non-pharmacological therapies

Utilize telephone interviewing skills and critical thinking skills in assessing patient symptoms, and changes to determine appropriate education and support.

Pre-surgical and procedural patient education is performed in person, in-clinic setting and in-hospital rounding. KPWAHTF Qualifications: Experience requirements Minimum: 1-2 years ARNP experience. P referred: 4-5 years of ARNP Bariatric surgery experience ideal;

Knowledge/ skill requirements Minimum: Excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving, leadership and decision-making skills. Strong customer service skills; excellent computer skill Education requirements Minimum: Master’s degree in Nursing from accredited school of nursing and graduate of accredited ARNP program

Certificates/ Licensure: Minimum: Current Washington State RN and ARNP license; Prescriptive Authority in State of Washington
